Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
This is a film adaptation that I’ve been looking forward to seeing since it was first announced back in 2023. I hoped this would be an exciting and thrilling adaptation of the first chronological story in ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ called ‘The Magician’s Nephew’. Continue reading

As part of the ‘Star Trek’ 60th anniversary celebrations, I’ve decided to check out the movie novelization of ‘Star Trek: The Motion Picture’ by Gene Roddenberry, based on the screenplay by Harold Livingston and the story by Alan Dean Foster. I’m basing my review on the 40th anniversary edition of the movie novelization, which was released in 2019. It’s taken me seven years to check out the 40th anniversary edition, but I’m glad to be checking it out along with the unabridged audiobook read by Robert Petkoff for the TV show’s 60th anniversary. Last week, I shared the first of the ‘Learn with Sooty’ range of educational videos called ‘Be Safe…’. Originally, there were four educational videos featuring Sooty and the gang. They were released in 1989, the year I was born. The videos were presented by Matthew Corbett along with Sooty, Sweep and Soo from ‘The Sooty Show’, which I loved watching as a kid. Continue reading

This four-part story has the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy meeting Judy Garland along with Mickey Rooney aboard a ocean cruise ship in 1939. Continue reading

I think it’s fair to say that every September, it’s a time to celebrate Jane Austen. That was certainly the case when I was in Bath last year and I saw a theatre production of ‘Emma’. It’s also because the world-famous Jane Austen Festival gets to be held annually in Bath. Continue reading

Here we are on the third and final instalment of ‘The Lord of the Rings: Comedy Version’, based on the ‘LOTR’ film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. This comedy version of ‘LOTR’ by me and my best friend from school – Stephen Buckley – was put together via cassette tape from 2003 to 2005. I cherish fond memories of putting that together. 🙂 In December 2021, I shared the ‘LOTR: Comedy Version’ as part of my ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar in the build-up to Christmas. So, after seeing the 40th anniversary re-release of ‘The Transformers: The Movie’ at the Omniplex Cinema in Wigan last weekend, I stayed on to watch the 12-minute short film called ‘Optimus Prime: Awakening’ shown after that. As a short film, it was fascinating to see. 🙂 Continue reading
